Denim for Spring 2010 doesn't just mean jeans: denim is popping up on shoes, jackets, dresses, even handbags. If you're feeling extra edgy and youthful, wear it head-to-toe (which was previously a fashion no-no.) The rest of us can pick a great piece or two to update our exisiting wardrobes. Denim shirts and jackets look great with khaki and white, but also pair with brights like yellow.

1. Washed Denim Motorcycle Jacket

Gap ' s denim motorcycle jacket gives you the hard - edged silhouette of a biker ( zippers and cool cut ) and pairs it with the soft, distressed feeling of your favorite jeans. I ' d wear this great jacket with everything from khakis to leggings; even over a cute little print dress it would add some edge.

2. Dark Denim Dress

This is the dark chambray dress you ' ll reach for all spring and summer. Wear it bare - legged with wedges or paired with leggings on cooler days. Esprit ' s denim dress features updated shirtdress details and pintucking for extra interest.

3. Dark Denim Jacket

With its feminine fit and flare cut and dark wash, this Ralph Lauren denim jacket is the sophisticated, dressier version of the classic denim jacket. It ' s so chic, that it would even work for more casual office settings paired with a pencil skirt or wide - leg trousers.

4. Denim Romper

Rich & Skinny's sleek little denim romper isn't for the body-shy: it has a short 3" inseam and a strapless silhouette. It is, however, adorable for all those warm weather occasions when you want something short and flirty.

5.Denim and Leather Mini

I love the way denim and leather look together: totally rocker chic! This Helmut Lang lambskin trim pencil skirt looks great with ankle boots and a black tank for night or paired with tights/leggings and a jacket for daytime.

6.Denim Shirt

Old Navy's classic chambray shirt has the look of your well-worn jeans. Wear it layered under more denim for a trendy look or paired with neutral bottoms for a sporty look.

7.Denim Jumpsuit

Combine two trends into one piece: denim and jumpsuits. This ruffle-front jumpsuit gives the utilitarian piece a feminine edge.

8.Denim Bag

A roomy bag takes on the look of the season in chambray. Gap's leather-trimmed hobo is the perfect updated accent for less than.

9.Denim Bootie

A denim bootie? Genius! These Nordstrom Exclusive Nine West booties have a chic stacked heel and aren't as clunky as some of the booties out there, which make them a perfect partner for white, khaki and just about anything else you want to match your denim shoes with (one word of caution: don't mix denim shoes with denim clothes -- too matchy matchy.)
