Los Angeles Fashion Market on June 14-17

The California Market Center (CMC) welcomes buyers to an exciting, new edition of Los Angeles Fashion Market on June 14-17 2010 for Fall II/Holiday. "New" is the underlying theme at this Market, reflected most prominently by a new Monday-Thursday date pattern, with a Sunday preview open to buyers arriving early in Los Angeles. Buyers will find a wide assortment of new resources and events this Market, including the debut of the STAR Show at the CMC, FOCUS Apparel & Accessories Show, TRANSIT LA Shoe Show, and Brighte by ENK. Special event highlights include a new, lunchtime-edition of the Designer Launchpad Runway Show hosted by FOCUS, as well as a new, daily "Happenings" schedule packed with numerous giveaways, cocktail receptions, luncheons and more throughout the building. This Market will introduce many lines and showrooms to the CMC, including Vanteria de Eleganza (edgy contemporary womenswear B540), Coin 1804 (contemporary cotton apparel B541), Divine-Wear Design (contemporary sportswear C1145), newly re-located Strategy LA (contemporary mid to higher-end womenswear B573), and more. FOCUS presents a new, special accessories-themed showcase to buyers including buzzed-about designers, Flying Daisies from Portland, Designer Millinery couture designs, Miriam Jewels Signature Wire Crochet Jewelry, Geisha De Guadalupe, Kenda Kist, Indian Summer Gifts & Accessories, Jenny&JimBob, and many more. FOCUS is located in the CMC Penthouse (13th floor), Tuesday-Thursday, June 15-17, from 9am-5pm. Also new this season is a lunchtime-version of Designer Launchpad Runway Show, hosted by FOCUS Apparel & Accessories Show and Fashion Business Inc (FBI) in the CMC Penthouse. Taking place June 15th at 12pm, buyers and press will enjoy complimentary box lunches catered by Tiara Café, swag bags designed by FOCUS exhibitor Natures Mistake, and an open bar sponsored by Frey and Magnanimus wines. Featured collections include CC Couture, Pia Gladys Perey, & Kerryn Leigh. Running concurrently with FOCUS in the CMC Penthouse is TRANSIT LA Shoe Show. This show will highlight key labels in the contemporary and young contemporary footwear categories, including new exhibitors Pour la Victoire, Charles David, Charles Albert, and Messeca, as well as retailer favorites Frye Boots, L.A.M.B., Jeffrey Campbell, DV by Dolce Vida, Report, and Steve Madden. Additionally, Irregular Choice will be hosting a daily shoe giveaway for registered retailers visiting the show. New to LA Fashion Market is the STAR Show, presenting urban streetwear apparel and accessories for women, men, and boutique. Participating brands include Baby Phat, Billionaire Mafia, Akademiks, and Live Mechanics. The STAR Show begins June 15-17 from 9am-6pm in the Exhibit Hall (main lobby, lower level, C-wing). Also featured in the main lobby is Brighte, the contemporary women's apparel and accessories show produced by ENK, June 14-17, 9am-5pm. LA Fashion Market will also feature a daily schedule of "Happenings" for visiting buyers including giveaways, complimentary cocktail receptions, luncheons, and more. Events include the Divine-Wear grand opening cocktail reception in Suite C1145, Tuesday, June 15, 4-6pm, a Silk Culture Champagne Reception Tuesday, June 15, 12pm-2pm, and a daily Kids Luncheon on the 6th floor, 12pm-1pm, to name a few.
