If much of 2011's fashion has been interested in 70s glamour than Elie Tahari's Resort collection has been truly swept away by it. And glamour is the key word: this is nighttime retro goodness from the floor-length gauzy gowns to a sharp white pant suit. But while part of the collection reaches that exotic Resort high note, it falls down a little where it gets too casual. Case in point, this outfit which proves that wide leg pants are by far best when balanced out by a more streamlined top half. A baggy top with baggy pants simply won't produce a flattering outcome.
