Supermodels Take to the Runway at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Show.

When Elle McPherson closes a show you know it’s special. On Wednesday afternoon the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 show paid tribute to The Speedy, the brand’s iconic bag that made its debut over 80 years ago. Fittingly creative director Marc Jacobs used some of fashion’s most iconic faces to show the 1930s inspired collection. More buxom than usual, Jacob’s added curvier woman in the form of Bar Rafaeli, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lara Stone, Coco Rocha, and McPherson to his roster of models. Taking to the sunny catwalk, which went around a working fountain, it was an elegant walk in the park for Jacobs and his girls. Rafaeli, who is in town for just a few days before heading to Israel, takled her nerves with a bit of exercise. “I ran along the Seine this morning and I’m feeling good, ” she said. McPherson was feeling pretty dandy herself, fielding interviewed from behind a stantion. “It was a very special experience, ” she said of sporting the last look. This season LV had a contagious joie de vivre that prevailed backstage after the show where champagne flowed and Jacob’s proudly accepted accolades. Cheers to the best show in Paris thus far! ~Nola Weinstein.

On Monday evening Paris’ Grand Palais was transformed into the chicest convent around as Stefano Pilati presented the Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2010 collection. Opening looks featured nun - like hats, and somber black attire, while exaggerated collars and wide leg pants made for elegantly modest looks. The designer added a bit of protection in the form of PVC coated capes and plastic inserts. After a series of dark looks, the show closed with a burst of brightness. Pink, green, yellow and cobalt satin creations left the crowd in a jovial mood. Pilati’s use of color would have done the late Yves Saint Laurent proud. And we’re sure that those who were lucky enough to see the YSL retrospective across the street at the Petit Palais days later could see just how important the brand’s heritage is. ~Nola Weinstein

Cold weather has never been so desirable. In the frigid Parisian air, the fashion set had the opportunity to check out Moncler's latest collection of outerwear. Giambattista Valli presented his designs Tuesday afternoon just beside The Ritz in Paris. Looks were both futuristic and luxe, with several vignettes showcasing a variety of silhouettes. Fuzzy white jackets were lined up on identical mannequins, while a detailed orange puffer was highlighted in a vault. Short gray numbers were adorned with scale-like paillettes, while black coat dresses were enhanced with pleated adornments. Brooke Shields stopped by to greet Valli and scope out his creations. “These look very cozy!” she said. And we continue to think that Moncler's is the chicest way to brave the elements! ~Nola Weinstein

Sequins, minis, chains and lots of gold once again dominated at Balmain. Christophe Decarnin delivered the power dressing he has become known for with 80s inspired dresses, bold shoulders, and detailed jackets. His designs have become synonymous with Parisian fashion and for Fall 2010 there was no shortage of sexy!

Ashley Greene & Rachel Zoe Front Row at Gucci.

We love that Gucci is going back to it’s roots and embracing iconic images and designs from the brand’s history. We also love that some modern celebs were on hand for the Italian luxury house’s Fall 2010 show. Ashley Greene and Rachel Zoe sat front row in Milan; Greene wore a black silk shift dress with blue and white contrast detail with the black leather bamboo handbag, while Zoe wore a vintage Gucci look.

Kate Hudson Is Burberry Beauty.

Burberry's Christopher Bailey may be en-”trenched” in British fashion, but he certainly knows how to dress Hollywood’s cool girls. Yesterday Kate Hudson joined Mary-Kate Olsen, Kristen Stewart and Claire Danes to take in the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 show in London. In spite of the rain Hudson arrived in a dazzling green sequin Burberry dress.
